What can I say I TRULY LOVE FABRIC. I love feeling it, looking at it and creating something with it. Whether basic clothing, Art to Wear, Formal Attire or Quilting it all starts with that special fabric that you see and just have to have. Usually I had no clue what I was going to create but that didn/t matter just as long as it washin my stash.
My grandmother in Sweden was a seamstress. My mother was Head Seamstress for the Queen of Sweden. Mom designed and created for the Queen until the day she crossed The Atlantic, landing at Ellis Island with a band from Sweden who came to perform in the United States. Mom met, fell in love and married my Dad.
An early job in high school was working in the “domestics” department of a chain discount store. The best part was meeting people and seeing each fabric as it arrived. In latter years I was a business major with continuing education in Paralegal Certification, and Criminal Law. I've worked in Denistry, Publishing, Marketing, Advertising, International Business, and Law but my favorite has still been working with people teaching them to sew and quilt, as well as helping selecting their fabric.
